ALPHA Nielsen Frame

Composition

 The Nielsen ALPHA frame is made of a high-quality aluminum frame with a front profile width of 8 mm, a depth of 26 mm, and mineral glass with polished edges, 2 mm thick.

Colors

You can choose between a matte black anodized aluminum finish with a flawless surface, or wood veneer finishes: Oak and Wenge, combining the warmth of natural wood with the rigidity of the aluminum frame.

Nielsen ALPHA frames are entirely manufactured in Germany.

Frame Sizes

Deep and stylish, the Nielsen ALPHA frame is now available in multiple sizes, including square formats: 18x24 cm, 24x30 cm, 30x30 cm, 30x40 cm, 40x40 cm, 40x50 cm, 40x60 cm, 50x50 cm, 50x60 cm, 50x70 cm, 60x60 cm, 60x80 cm, and 70x100 cm.

Mat (Passe-Partout)

The mat, with its elegant, classic, and understated look, enhances your image beautifully.
In addition, the mat protects your print by preventing direct contact with the frame glass.

Our mats are custom-made, produced directly in our framing workshop upon request. They are made of thick, acid-free white cardboard to preserve your print.

To make your image visible, an opening is cut in the mat, creating a “window” that reveals the picture.
The inner edges of this window are slightly beveled for an even more refined look!

New: Custom Mat
From the configuration page under “Image Size,” by selecting “Custom Mat” from the mat options, you can now specify the dimensions of the mat borders yourself.
Once selected, a new “Mat” tab appears in the configuration page. After entering your dimensions, the window size is automatically calculated, and the result is displayed on-screen.
You can also check the cropping in the “Cropping” tab to select the visible area of the image.

You can also choose without a mat, in which case your image will be displayed in full format across the entire frame.

To ensure the best value for money, for standard formats with fixed dimensions and common photo aspect ratios, we offer the most widely used photography sizes.
For custom dimensions, simply select “Custom Mat.”

Important: if your image has a different ratio from the 3 standard ratios offered, it will automatically be cropped and centered to the closest ratio.
You can preview this cropping live on-screen when preparing your order, or pre-adjust your image in advance.
If the automatic cropping does not suit you, specify your custom dimensions by selecting “Custom Mat.”
